Bookbinding: Western Leather Case

In this class taught by professional bookbinderMolly Lewis, each student will learn how to hand-tear or cut cotton paper in order to make folded signatures. These will then be sewn by hand into a leather book cover using waxed linen thread.
This book construction is best suited for journaling and fine art painting or even drawing. These books make excellent travel journals, due to the sturdy construction and the supple durability of the leather cover.
All materials will be provided.
