Rather than charge a monthly or annual subscription fee to help cover the cost of operations we rely on donations from our members to assist us in offsetting the cost of providing the service.

EPIC Vortex Gorge Race 1

The Gorge paddling community has come together to bring you the Vortex Gorge Series, a three race paddling series in the Heart of the Gorge. Gorge Canoe Club, Nelo USA / Nordic Kayaks USA and Puakea Designs are excited to host these races with the help of the community. The dates have been set for May 21, June 4 and June 25, 2023.
EPIC Gorge Race #1 is put on by Gorge Canoe Club and sponsored by Epic Kayaks. Race will run on Sunday, May 21, 2023 – with potential downwind run /group paddle on Saturday afternoon May 20th and Mixer at GCC new clubhouse.

6pm Welcome mixer and Talk story at GCC club house (515 SW Portage Rd, Cascade Locks, OR 97014)

Cascade Locks OR (just past the Gorge Sternwheeler dock)
8am set up and breakfast
9am check in – registration Canoe Blessing ceremony
10am short course meeting –
10:15 short course start
11am pre race Downwind/long course meeting
11:30am race start
1:30pm Awards / Raffle
