Beard and Banjo is the stage name of Tony Fuentes, a banjo player and singer-songwriter known for his unique blend of bluegrass, folk, and country music.
Beard and Banjo was raised in North Carolina and Virginia. He began playing guitar at an early age. About 10 years ago, he moved to Trout Lake and realized that the town was in need of a banjo nerd. He bought a banjo, fell in love with the 5-string life, and quickly became involved in the local music scene.
Beard and Banjo’s music has been praised for its authenticity and its energy. He is a skilled banjo player, and his live performances are always a crowd-pleaser. For this show at Trout Lake Hall, Beard and Banjo will be joined by Bernardo Gomez on stand up bass and some local friends.
