Spiritual Activism

Kalama Reuter. who has been on the Universalist Sufi path since 1976, will present on this topic. Her journey has been one towards becoming a complete human being which bridges the material and spiritual dimensions. The Sufi Invocation calls us toward the Oneness through our bodies, hearts, and souls and into the fullness of the world. Through breath, sound, contemplation, and concentration practices, Sufis aim to emerge from the small self to the Infinite Awareness and Vast Love that is Essence Itself. Kalama’s message on Spiritual Activism will draw from our grounding in community and heart to recognize our capacity for stewardship and justice in response to the cries of the Earth and humanity. There will be Dances of Universal Peace with gentle movements, the spiral work of Joanna Macy, and an opportunity for personal reflections in pairs.
