Voci Community Choir “Open House” for New Singers
Do you love to sing, but have nowhere to share your talents except for the shower and karaoke night? CGOA’s Voci Community Choir invites you to a very special Open House event on Monday, September 25 at 6:30 PM. The event will be in the choir room of Hood River Valley HS, 1220 Indian Creek Rd., Hood River
The Voci Community Choir was founded in 2006 and consists of 40-60 non-auditioned singers. The emphasis in rehearsal is on fun, fellowship, music and vocal education and experiencing the power and joy of great choral music.
The choir is lead by Dan Kenealy, who takes over from Corin Parker. Dan has been the choral and instrumental director at Hood River Valley HS since 2015, when long-time director (and Voci founder) Mark Steighner retired. Dan’s HRVHS Chamber Singers have participated in the Oregon State Choir Contest nearly every year.
The Open House will focus on fun and familiar songs. There is no audition and singers of every experience level are welcome. The Voci choir is just beginning its season, so this is a great time to join.
