
William Gary Harvey – A Talk with Friends & Curators Tim McClure & Lee Weinstein
William Gary Harvey, known to family and friends as Gary Harvey was born in The Dalles, Ore. in 1942, lived alone and built fences here in Wasco County, Wyoming and points in-between. Unbeknownst to but a few, he created abstract paintings, drawings and found object sculptures. Luckily, Gary’s friends and neighbors Tim McClure and Lee Weinstein discovered the artist’s work and made a commitment to share his art with the world after his passing in 2021.
Tim and Lee will be interviewed by Sally Johnson, Interim Executive Director of The Dalles Art Center then walk through the collected pieces in the Gallery. This will be a special evening filled with stories and insightful context for the life and work of the artist.
Ticket price includes complimentary beverages and light snacks. Proceeds from this event benefit The Dalles Art Center.
