How Food Delivery Apps Are Trying to Kill a Worker Uprising

0

Delivery workers in New York City made history when they won a $24/hour minimum wage. It was supposed to go into effect in January, 2023. Until, it didn’t.

Gig economy expert Andrew Wolf Taking found that app-based food delivery couriers made on average $12.21 an hour, with tips.

Right now, these workers are on the front lines of a revolution for the gig economy.
