Japan police on the hunt for notorious urinal grate thief

Move aside, Sherlock Holmes, because we have a new mystery on our hands: the curious case of the serial urinal grate thief!

Yes, you heard it right. Police in Japan are looking for the individual responsible for taking urinal grates from the unsuspecting restrooms of Sapporo. 

According to JapanToday.com, “this isn’t a case of someone shoplifting brand-new grates from hardware stores or home centers. It’s specifically the little pieces of metal sitting at the bottom of urinals in public park restrooms, which have ostensibly been peed on hundreds, if not thousands, of times, that the thief is going after.” 

Police are asking the parkgoers report any suspicious behavior.
