Man charged after stumbling into hot spring while intoxicated

A Michigan man took an unconventional dip in Yellowstone National Park and landed in a hot, hot mess.

Jason D. Wicks, 49, from Hillman, Michigan, found himself in federal court after a misadventure that left him with non-life threatening burns to the foot. Reports claim he veered off the beaten path in a thermal wonderland, resulting in him burning himself from the scolding hot water. The U.S. Department of Justice District of Wyoming shared that he was apparently enjoying the company of alcohol or its party pal, drugs, during this escapade, per ABC4.

Wicks plead not guilty to charges including thermal trespass and endangering himself and others while intoxicated. As a cherry on top of this peculiar pie, Wicks has been handed a ban from Yellowstone and Grand Teton National Parks.
