The Dalles, located in the Columbia River Gorge in the U.S. state of Oregon, is a city with a rich history that spans thousands of years. The area has been inhabited by various Native American tribes for centuries, and it has played an important role in the development of the region. From a transportation and trading hub for native tribes to a center for agriculture and later hydroelectric power production, The Dalles has been an integral part of the region's history.
Recently in a few of the local Facebook groups I read, I’ve noticed something in my newsfeed that is both irking and alarming. Some people (many of whom I don’t know in person) are using Facebook as a virtual clothesline to air their dirty laundry. I’ve seen grown women rip their boyfriend’s exes to shreds through status updates, guys do the same thing about the ladies in their lives (past and present), and others write dramatic, cryptic posts about people, presumably inviting a slew of comments from curious “friends” wondering who they’re talking about.
